Treatment Modalities
Therapies include:
IFS Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy is a therapy that believes we are all made up of “parts” or subpersonalities. By getting to know our parts, we can find permanent healing, respond better to stresses in our lives and form stronger relationships with others. It’s the ultimate resiliency therapy.
CBT Therapy
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is the “gold standard” in treating depression and anxiety symptoms. It teaches how to have the thinking brain be in the driver seat, instead of our habit brain.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is the most researched intervention for PTSD and other trauma reactive disorders. It taps into the natural healing of our brain and helps take the “sting” out of painful memories of the past, both “little t” and “big T” traumas.
DBT Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of CBT therapy that focuses on building your ability to tolerate painful emotions and distressing situations. It’s great for highly sensitive people (HSPs) and anyone looking to build their emotional tolerance to the ups and downs of life.
PCIT Therapy
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is focused on kids ages 2-7 who have severely disruptive behaviors. This includes kicking, biting, yelling and other destructive behaviors. This therapy takes approximately 4-6 months of weekly sessions with both the child and parent and is evidence-based.
Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness can be defined as noticing what’s happening, on-purpose without judgment. You can integrate this skill into your life formally or informally. Therapy can help you learn how this powerful, science-backed intervention can help you in your day-to-day life.
Talk Therapy
Talk Therapy is where is it all began. In today’s century, talk therapy can include an integration of all therapies or create a safe place for you to find a place to just “be” and find a way to solve some of life’s greatest difficult challenges.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy is grounded in the theory that we are all part of a system - society, country, state, local and family (or chosen family). Bringing together multiple parties to problem-solve around an issue can be a great way to achieve lasting results when everyone is on the same page.
Therapy for Teens and Young People
Working with young people is a specialty and this therapy addresses all their unique needs in a way that meets them where they’re at. It begins with an assessment with the child and parent and then a feedback session with treatment recommendations.
